This unit covered how to teach pronunciation. This unit was important because teachers often ignore this aspect. I learned how to identify the intonation in the sentence. Some useful techniques were given on how to teach intonation. I learned about identifying the stressed syllables and how sounds join together. I learned about the phonemic symbols. I learned the different places of articulation. Everything in this unit was necessary to learn in order to develop an appropriate lesson plan for pronunciation.
