Some students may find difficult to establish the exact difference between future tenses. We must proceed with caution and patience as this is also one of the reasons many English students fail to progress further. Drilling rarely helps as proper usage have more to do with understanding their exact meaning. This can be achieved mainly through direct exposure in the activate phase. However, being a testing and unforgiving subject it may be a good idea to consider how collective assessment is being carried out in our class. Student public exposure of their frequent mistakes may erode their confidence hampering further advance. A good approach may be to remind the students on the introductory engage phase of the difficulties of mastering the future tenses right from the beginning, dedicate some extra hours to practise and also to review thoroughly the relevant present tenses when appropriate.
