Pronunciation is something we should not neglect as English teachers. More than its technicality, it excites learners and enhances their feelings, thus expression of thoughts in class becomes more enjoyable and meaningful. Phonology has 3 equally significant areas: Stress, Rhythm, and intonation. Learning these effectively allows learners to emphasize the things they intend to emphasize (stress), properly express the emotions they intend to express (intonation), and simplifying the use of the language either by reducing, adding, or linking sounds (rhythm). All these aspects put together equates even in terms of communication.
