What have I gained from this course? An understanding and appreciation of just how difficult studying and teaching english could, can and will be. That I´d forgotten a large amount of english grammar without realizing it or I had just become arrogant to the fact. I found english grammar I don´t remember every being taught, I´m not sure still if that´s a good or bad thing? This course combined with live classroom experience has given me a confidence that previous to starting, I doubted I would ever find when it came to being in a teacher/student or educational environment. I have already put a large portion of what I have learnt from this course into action and hope to continue to do so for a long time to come. I know there´s a lot more learning ahead but being the age I am, I know that experience is very important and due this course I feel well prepared to be part of that experience. I went from scribbling down some ideas for a class loosely based on a course book and doing some photocopies of worksheets to fully planning my lessons, actively looking for materials to enhance a task or help it´s explanation and have seen the positive results through the students. It´s been and is a lot of work but it´s been rewarding as well.
