I realize that China is a huge country, so my opinions will only reflect on a small part of it, which is the Guangxi province, in southern China. I can imagine a classroom full of students using their PEDs (portable electronic dictionaries) while the teacher stands nearby listening to the beeps and electronic voices translating various words.
